Overview

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a celebrity in almost every industry. Available in multiple variants to meet many needs, the Sprinter offers Mercedes-Benz engineering and design in a model that's designed to meet the needs of every job.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a full-sized van offered in four different variants. The Cargo Van starts at $33,790 and offers the most interior space for almost endless customization options.* The Passenger Van offers spacious seating for up to 15 people, and the Crew Van splits the interior with a row of seating and plenty of cargo space. Finally, the Cab Chassis offers just the bare bones needed to sit two up front and add any kind of enclosure on top of the rear chassis.

Each variant can be powered by a 4-cylinder gasoline engine, updated with performance-enhancing technology like a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and Bosch direct fuel injection. This capable powertrain is more than enough to offer confidence in your daily commute from work site to work site, thanks to 188 horses and 258 lb-ft of torque. That’s also enough for a maximum payload capacity of 3,854 lbs and a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 lbs when properly equipped.

Buyers also have the option to choose the 6-cylinder diesel engine, available in either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. This powertrain offers electronically controlled direct injection and a 7-speed automatic transmission. With this powerhouse, you’ll enjoy increased hauling ability up to a 6,735 lbs max payload and 7,500 lbs max towing.

In addition to engine options, the Sprinter can also be modified for a longer wheelbase, stretching the standard 144 inches to a lengthy 170 inches. The longer wheelbase increases cargo space in the Cargo variant and adds more seating in the Passenger variant. In the enclosed variants, buyers can also increase the roof height, increasing the interior standing height from a comfortable 67.7 inches to a sky-scraping 79.1 inches.
