2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet Offers Year Round Open-Top Bliss

Nothing beats the adventure and freedom of open-top driving, and Mercedes-Benz is prepping for open-air season with its first cabriolet based on the C-Class.
Having made its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show this March, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet combines a distinctive character with unparalleled refinement, courtesy of plenty of high-quality details.
It’s no secret cabriolet drivers like to drive with the top down as much as possible, which is why the new C-Class Cabriolet comes standard with AIRSCARF® neck-level heating and available AIRCAP® automatic draft stop system, which provide exceptional comfort during open-top driving 365 days a year.
The new C300 Cabriolet serves as the entry-level model into the cabriolet world of Mercedes-Benz. It’s available in both rear-wheel drive and 4MATIC® drivetrains, the latter of which provides firmer springing and damping, including the Sport Direct-Steer system, that adds to already agile and riveting road manners.
To ensure exceptional performance, worthy of the Mercedes-Benz badge, the new C300 Cabriolet employs a suspension designed for dynamics. There’s also an optional AIRMATIC® air suspension, which is unique to the C-Class segment, that is electronically controlled and continuously adjusting damping on the front and rear axles to ensure low road and tire vibration.
A new 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission is standard on all engine variants and pairs with DYNAMIC SELECT®, which is also standard on all C-Class cabriolet models. Drivers who appreciate true control of their vehicle with appreciate DYNAMIC SELECT®. It allows the driver to choose their desired setting: sporty, comfort or fuel-efficient. Using the DYNAMIC SELECT® switch, drivers can select one of five transmission modes: ECO, Comfort, Sport Plus, and Individual.
Style also plays a large role in the new C300 Cabriolet’s appeal. It features a striking front end that boasts a diamond radiator grille, standard LED headlamps, long hood, and a high beltline. Its tightly stretched soft top with glass window allows for a smooth transition to the back and into the distinctly styled rear end, which itself features a highly sporty look with its wide shoulders and flat LED tail lights.
The new C300 cabriolet features a 0.6-inch lower suspension as standard compared to the sedan, and sits on standard 18-inch tires.
The new C-Class Cabriolet launches later this summer. It will be followed in the fall by the new Mercedes-AMG® C43 Cabriolet, which boasts a sportier look as well as distinct AMG® styling elements.
It’s never too early to plan for those sun-filled drives and the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet is the perfect blend of modern luxury and youthful exuberance.
